Crime/Pulp Classics part 4

George V Higgins:Friends of Eddie Coyle (10 Edition)
Souring of the sixties (bank robbing hippies) is the milieu, organized crime as a business where middle management screws the lowest wrung for the bosses and the cops are merely the other side of the coin. Brilliant plot revealed 80% by dialogue with no exposition. A stone cold American classic of any genre.
Elmore Leonard:Swag

Ted Lewis:Get Carter
