Arthur Koestler

Darkness at Noon Koestler provides a more realistic take on the same territory staked out by Kafka’s The Trial and Orwell’s 1984(which it influenced). Set in specific time and date, that of the 1930’s show trials of Stalinist Russia, though presented in a language that aims for a universal parable.
