The Court of the Air
Court of Air is a nonstop carnival of imagination, Doctor Who, Superhero comics, English History being captured by a trio of Moorcock, Sterling, and Powers on amphetamines and pulp novel overload with the satirical vision of Jack Vance. The tone is swashbuckling and comic despite how dark and violent pretty much all of it is and the invention is dense and relentless. If this book fails it does so in excess.
